En påfaldende glat, små-batch engelsk destilleret klassiske London Dry gin. Denne pakke er udstyret med ikke én, men to spanske ‘Copa’ stil gin & tonic briller! Halvtreds pund Gin er produceret af en højt respekteret, familieejede destilleri ligger i den sydvestlige del af London, med en tradition for mere end to århundreder bag det. Den er lavet i en legendarisk John Dore stadig hvor de fineste, fire gange destilleret neutral kornspiritus er kombineret med den perfekte balance mellem botaniske, der stammer fra hele verden. Made in partier af omkring 1000 flasker ad gangen og aftappet på 43,5% vol, Halvtreds pund er indbegrebet London Dry gin og gør et helvede af en Gin & Tonic serveret med Fevertree tonic og en gejst af citron. Næse: Meget klassisk med citron, lime og Piney enebær dominerende. Smag: Silky glat, sprød og frisk med en kildre af peber på midten af ??ganen. Finish: Lang og frisk med blomsteragtige noter balancering krydderiet. Navnet kommer fra den “Gin Act of 1736«, som blev fremkaldt af George II at bremse den sociale nedbrydning forårsaget af overdreven produktion og forbrug af ‘gin «, som var blevet opmuntret af William of Orange, den tidligere monark. Den Gin Act of 1736 beskattet gin på 20 shillings per gallon og gjort sælge gin uden en 50 pund årligt licens ulovligt. Halvtreds pounds Gin tager derfor sit navn fra denne handling at vise det klassiske London Dry stil og arv.

A strikingly smooth, small-batch English distilled classic London Dry gin. This pack comes equipped with not one, but two Spanish ‘Copa’ style gin & tonic glasses! Fifty Pounds Gin is produced by a highly respected, family-owned distillery located in the south-west of London, with a tradition of more than two centuries behind it. It is made in a legendary John Dore still where the finest, four times distilled neutral grain spirit is combined with the perfect balance of botanicals which are sourced from all over the world. Made in batches of around 1000 bottles at a time and bottled at 43.5% abv, Fifty Pounds is the quintessential London Dry gin and makes a hell of a Gin & Tonic served with Fevertree tonic and a zest of lemon. Nose: Very classical with lemon, lime and piney juniper dominant. Palate: Silky smooth, crisp and fresh with a tickle of pepper on the mid-palate. Finish: Long and fresh with floral notes balancing the spice. The name comes from the ‘Gin Act of 1736’, which was brought about by George II to curb the social degradation caused by the excessive production and consumption of ‘gin’, which had been encouraged by William of Orange, the previous monarch. The Gin Act of 1736 taxed gin at 20 shillings per gallon and made selling gin without a 50 pound annual license illegal. Fifty pounds Gin therefore takes its name from this act to show it’s classical London Dry style and heritage.
